Student Councils are there to help students with any issues they are experiencing in their academic life. If you have a problem with a lecturer, your programme, a grade, timetabling, or anything else to do with your academic experience, your first stop should be your Council representative.
The Councils meet weekly to discuss any problems that students have raised with their representatives, and the Council President will then take up any issues with the relevant staff or managers in the University.
We organise a number of high profile academic events throughout the year, including a business conference and an entrepreneurs’ conference. These are very prestigious and often involve influential, high-profile speakers. We also organise smaller subject specific events throughout the year.
Societies give you great opportunities to meet like-minded people, learn, have fun and socialise. Whether you’d like to meet up with people to discuss aspects of business, entrepreneurship, languages or culture, or you’re looking for friends to play sport with, you’ll find a society that suits you.
We create a number of different content to be published on the Student Union's platforms, from filming, photography to art, we do almost everything! We participate during events throughout the year, including a business conference in order to show our students what we do through different mediums. If you are a creative person in want to practice your skill this is the team for you.
The Student Union Executive Team are the governing body of the Student Union, headed by the President and Vice President. The Executive Team make sure that the Student Union stands up for the voice of our students and delivers the best events, societies and activities.
