It was lovely meeting some of you during induction week. I hope you have settled into London well and are just as excited as I am to begin the new semester. For those returning, a warm welcome back.
Let me recap some essential information to begin the semester:
- All postgraduates are welcome to the council. Getting involved is a great way of increasing your leadership and teamwork skills which will be practical for future work environments. The vice-president position is open for the semester. The responsibilities include: working with me to keep the team organised, being present to all meetings and events, record minutes where necessary, be well communicated to students and faculty across all programmes, and help me out with council relevant matters. If you are interested in the position, please prepare a short paragraph entailing why, and what would make you a great candidate. Please send by the end of this week via email to SUBAMPOSTGRADCOUNCIL@REGENTS.AC.UK.
- Students are encouraged to regularly drop in to the social study room in the Postgraduate Centre to check out our notice board for networking information. Please be respectful of your peers and keep the room clean. The room will be used for council meetings every Wednesday evening at 6pm (provisional) where all students are welcome to join but advised to register online by the end of Week 3. This is to ensure that you do not miss out on any important information and notifications.
- For those of you who have already registered interest, thank you! We currently have a strong team of over 20 sign ups, and I look forward to a fun and productive semester ahead. Please be sure to keep a lookout on your emails for our first gathering this week. I will give you more information when we meet.
Best of luck to your studies!
